GeIL Golden Dragon PC3200/3700

GeIL Golden Dragon PC3200/PC3700 :

Without reciting the product pages at GeIL, I’ll just pick out the parts which are of interest for the overclockers.

The PC3200 is rated at CL2 6-3-3 1T at 200 MHz using 2.55V-2.95V. The 3700 counterpart does it a bit more relaxed at CL2.5 7-4-4 but uses a bit more voltage to achieve this speed (2.65-2.95V)

One of the products eye-catching features is the black antique-type “Classic Asian” package. I can assure you, it is breath taking and obvious overkill.

A lot of effort has been put into the packaging as you can see from the photos above; the outside is covered by a soft fabric with a pattern:

Then you notice the memory sticks, and they don’t quite look like your run of the mill modules. The very small chips produce less heat and GeIL therefore does not include heat spreaders, there is just a plastic cover to protect these mini chips:

The PC3700 modules come packaged in exactly the same way, and both include stickers with the GeIL Dragon logo on them

A bright red LED lights up when they are in a system, it's a nice touch.
