Chenbro Gaming Bomb Case

Cases & PSU/Cases by piotke @ 2003-11-28

We were offered to take a closer look at the Gaming Bomb Case from Chenbro, the design is unusual and might not appeal to everyone. One of our reviewers stated on our forums that he found the case ugly and unappealing. So we gave him the task of reviewing his "favourite" case, the ultimate test for both sides. Will this case please our reviewer? Or will he keep his negative view on it. Read on to find out!

Extra's & special remarks

Modding & looks

The case definitely has a special design and colour. Not everybody might like the orange/brown front. But if you don’t like it, don’t buy it !
The left side panel has some kind of case window. The cut-out is very well finished. And the plexi is about 2 mm thick; which is strong enough for normal case usage.

Special remarks

It’s very useful to have a front I/O panel on your case. With most cases (SuperFlower, AOpen, Chieftec, …) there’s no possible way to connect the internal cables wrong. But this case is a real pain-in-the-ass when it comes to this. It has all separate cables! Which means in my case (no pun intended), half an hour of puzzling on how to connect it all correctly…

Some default things are also missing here. A normal case has a power led, hard disk led, power and reset button, and finally a little speaker.
This case has only the power button and the two leds.
There’s something retro about this case. A key lock, haven’t seen this for a long time, but this case has it.
