The XPC Barebone SH55J2 is another interesting product from Shuttle in which we can install any Socket 1156 CPU, with or without integrated graphics, add a single or dual slot video card, turning it into a gaming system or a nice Media Center for our living room.

Inside the box

Packaging

The H55 barebone from Shuttle comes packed in a large cardboard box, with a handle on top, so we can carry it easy out of the store:

When we first open up the box, we can see in the center the actual product covered in protective material and on the sides we can find the rest of the bundle:

The bundle is split into three parts:

  • the manuals
  • the power lead
  • the rest of the items in a white cardboard box

    Each manual explains the connectors, the headers and how to install step-by-step all the remaining hardware components to obtain a fully functional computer:

    In the little cardboard box, a power SATA to Molex connector can be found, a little tube with thermal compound, a bag with cable ties and screws, but also a DVD with the necessary drivers:
