Cases & PSU/Power Supplies by stefan @ 2010-07-25

The RX-1.1K Gold Power Supply is the latest from Nexus, comes with enough juice to power multiple GPU systems, but also high overclocked CPUs. It is not one of the most expensive on the market and comes with a carry pouch in which we can find the extra modular cables.

Packaging

Packaging:

The NEXUS 1.1K PSU comes in a big, fully sealed on the outside box, to ensure that no one will mess with the interior contents, except the final user. On the top of the box, we can see a photo of the main product, its full name and the Nvidia SLI logo, which tells us that it is powerful enough to fuel up multi-card configurations:

Also on the frontal part we can see some features of the product, written in the left bottom corner:

On one of the package laterals, we get to see that the PSUs were carefully tested in a ISO-certified chamber for noise; the test results are also available on the Nexus website for everyone to see, before buying the product:

On the opposite side, we can also see one of the graphs that describe the efficiency of the power supply; again, the tests were done in specialized labs and the results are fully available on the website:

On the bottom of the box, we get to see the product features explained in detail, along with the list which contains the number of fixed connectors, modular connectors, but also the table with the technical specifications:

The box does also have a plastic handle, for us to carry it much easier:

Inside, we can see from left to right a little pouch with the modular (removable) cables, the PSU and on the right the fixed cables strapped together:

The pouch in which we can find the rest of the cables looks very nice and has a large NEXUS logo on one of its laterals:

It can be opened by using the lateral zipper:

In the left and right parts of the pouch we can find the modular cables, all sleeved with a quality black and white X-mesh for a clean good look; here we can also find the fixing screws along with the power lead in the center:

The fixing screws can be found in a separate plastic bag:

Each of the modular along with the fixed connectors have labels on them so we won’t make any mistakes when connecting them to the peripherals or the motherboard:
