Shuttle XPC slim DA320 Robust 1.3-litre Mini PC for AMD Review

Others/All-in-one PC by stefan @ 2021-02-14

The 1.3-litre XPC slim DA320 mini PC from Shuttle is the company’s first AMD compact barebone and features most of the connectivity options we have seen with the Intel variants. The chassis is not the latest design as the DH470, meaning that we do not get USB Type-C ports, the new frontal panel or air filters on the top cover but all other aspects do match the previous barebone SKU. In terms of performance with a similarly priced Intel CPU (such as the i3-10100), the AMD Ryzen 5 2400G does fall a bit behind regarding CPU performance, but simply destroys the Intel platform when looking at the GPU scores.

Packaging, A Closer Look Part I

In this article we will concentrate our attention upon another interesting product from Shuttle, the DA320 barebone which is also the first AMD-based XPC slim series SKU from the company. The chassis is only 1.3-litre and can house APUs from the AMD Athlon 220GE and up to the 65W Ryzen 5 3400G with RX Vega 11 graphics!

The product is shipped inside a medium-sized box with the usual Shuttle box art:

On one of the sides we will note a large sticker with the product technical specifications, but also the serial number:

The inside box contents are carefully protected with foam material:

Besides the DA320, we will also receive a separate cardboard box with the hardware bundle, but also the documentation inside a separate re-sealable plastic bag:

The manual includes all the necessary steps in order to install the rest of the needed components:

The included VESA mount does come with a separate manual as well:

The hardware bundle is protected with individual plastic bags:

In more detail, we will receive the power adapter, the VESA mount components, the power lead, screws for mounting, a driver disk but also a syringe with thermal compound:

The power adapter was manufactured by AC Bel, rated on the output as 19V at 6.32A:
