FIIL Wireless Headset Review

Audio/Others by stefan @ 2016-09-29

This headset comes with quite a bit of new technologies like Bluetooth V4.1 support, ANC, capacitive controls right on the headset cups but also integrates NFC, can operate in both wired and wireless modes, while the necessary cables are offered for both Android and iOS platforms. The headset is ready for taking calls, navigating through music players, can be connected to two Bluetooth devices at the same time, while the integrated 570mAh battery allows quite a bit of usage during a single charge. The supplied FIIL+ application completes the product by offering easy switch for ANC mode, different EQ presets but also simulated 3D surround effects for different environments.

Packaging, A Closer Look Part I

This article will focus on another interesting product, a headset which has both wired and wireless capabilities, capacitive touch controls, NFC, ANC, hands free functionality, Bluetooth multiple connection function and more.

The product does ship inside a white medium-sized cardboard enclosure and on the top cover we will get to see a drawing which also informs us of the headset color; while our sample has arrived in red, there is also a black, blue, green, pink but also a silver option:

A Hi-Res Audio logo can be spotted in the lower right corner; with this pictogram, the manufacturer informs us that the device supports aptX audio coding for high quality audio streaming from compatible devices:

On the package we will also spot some different logos with supported technologies; while FIIL does list the iPod, iPhone and iPad, the product is fully compatible with Android devices too (and includes a separate audio cable for these too):

Let’s remove the top packaging layer and see what we do have inside:

The inner white cardboard box opens up like a book and reveals a hard storage case:

After getting this one out of the way, we will get to see that the accessories reside on the bottom layer; these are packaged independently in smaller cardboard boxes and the manufacturer has also written which items we do find inside each:

A closer look reveals the User Manual, the cable for Android devices, one USB charging cable, but also a buckle for attaching the FIIL Wireless headphones hard case to our luggage while traveling:
