KFA2 GeForce GTX 1070 EX OC 8GB Video Card Review

Videocards/VGA Reviews by stefan @ 2016-09-20

The GeForce GTX 1070 EX OC board from KFA2 impressed us positively regarding the overall build quality, factory overclocking levels, while the dual 100mm fans keep the board cool while keeping minimum noise levels. The manufacturer has also thought of enthusiasts who like to keep their systems hardware visible during operation via case windows, so the fans along with the GeForce GTX logo are LED lighted; the logo can be further customized via the supplied Xtreme Tuner Plus utility. One other important aspect to point out is that the KFA GeForce GTX 1070 EX OC 8GB video card is one of the most affordable cards on the market with custom cooling, with the same GPU.

Two PCI-E 6-pin and 8-pin to MOLEX adapters are also provided with the product, in cases our power supply does not have the necessary connectors:

The GTX 1070 EX OC card from KFA2 is also fully wrapped inside an anti-static bag:

The card comes with a premium-looking top black aluminum shroud, while the dual 100mm fans keep the whole heatsink assembly cool during operation; this design is using the cold fresh air from the computer case and evacuates it in the same area after it has passed through the heatsink fins, so it is quite recommended to install this card inside a well-ventilated PC enclosure:

Each fan is provided with 11 blades, has a central KFA2 circular logo in the middle and the included red LEDs bring up a nice effect:

If we take a look on the sides, we will be able to check out the complexity of the cooling system:

A GeForce GTX logo is present on the shroud, which is facing towards us when the card is installed inside the system; this one is LED-lighted and we have full control over it via the KFA2 utility:

Unlike the EVGA 1070 SC, which was powered by a single 8-pin PCI-E connector, this one comes with an additional 6-pin one:
