The new Macbook Pro 15'' Unibody has arrived with memory clocked at 1600Mhz and it is recommended that we upgrade it with the same memory type, otherwise the bandwidth will be lowered (it is hardly noticeable in real-life applications though).
While 4GB of RAM is insufficient for most users, we would recommend a total of 8GB if we are doing intensive work with multiple programs at once, but we can also max-out at 16GB if we are used of operating with one or multiple virtual machines at once. As we have seen from the benchmark results, the system seems to benefit fully from the RAM upgrade since the speed increased in most of the read/write operations.
The Avexir 16GB C11 memory kit is not yet available for retail.
I would like to thank again to AVEXIR for making this presentation possible!
