The TRITTON Gears of War 3 Headset from Mad Catz comes with 2 Full-Range 40mm Drivers and thanks to the included Dolby® Digital EX / Pro Logic IIX / Dolby Headphone Decoder, the product can reproduce realistically surround sound, for an interesting experience in games, movies or music. The master volume can be adjusted from the decoder box or from the in-line remote and the product also comes with the necessary equipment for connecting it to any version of Xbox 360.

A Closer Look Part III

The extra earpad set is present for replacement in case the stock ones wear out:

 

 

 

 

 

The removable microphone looks identical to the one we have seen on the AX 720 model; the product is easy to mount, remove and has a flexible boom, so it can be adjusted in the position we want:

 

 

 

 

An USB cable is needed to send power from the USB port to the decoder box and also for data (MIC), in case the product is connected to the PC:

 

 

 

The In-Line Audio Control Module with Breakaway has a long red braided cable, for extra durability:

 

 

 

On the top of the module we can find a MIC On/Off switch, along with the GOW 3 logo:

 

 

 

One of the sides has a jack for connecting the supplied cable to the Xbox 360 controller and also features a volume adjuster for the microphone; with the same adjuster we can turn on or off SVM (Selective Voice Monitoring) so we could hear our voice through the headset if needed:

 

 

 

The opposite side has a volume adjuster for the headset, named GAME VOL:

 

 

 

On the back of the in-line remote, we can find the GOW3, Tritton and Mad Catz logos:
