The iP1 Sound System with iPhone/iPod dock from iHome sports a very modern look and comes with enough power for most home users; the Bongiovi DPS sound enhancement is also present on this unit like it was on the iP49, along with an extra set of speaker faces, Component Video output and Line-in jack for using it with different external sound sources, without the need to have an iPhone/iPod plugged in at that time.

A Closer Look Part III

Here is how the speaker does look with the face removed:

 

 

 

One 10-watt tweeter can be found in each top corner:

 

 

 

On the bottom left side we can find the iHome logo, and on the right there is the Bongiovi DPS Acoustics emblem:

 

 

 

 

The acrylic surface does not make direct contact with the table, but with some rubber feet:

 

 

 

Rubber feet can be also found on the back of the device:

 

 

 

The bottom of the product also contains an iHome sticker with information regarding the AC adaptor rating:

 

 

 

On the dock, we can find an On/Off, Volume -/+ and Bongiovi Acoustics buttons:

 

 

 

When looked from the back, we can see the large driver cylinder enclosures and the input/output connectors:

 

 

 

 

 

Besides the DC-IN connector, we can also find in the back of the device a Line-in jack port, along with the Component Video Out:

 

 

 

In the center of the Plexiglas, we can find a rubber bumper, that is a component of the dock system; this bumper offers support to the back of the installed iPhone/iPod:

 

 

 

 

When installed into the dock, the iPhone integrates perfectly with the iP1 audio system:
