The AirLive X.USB Dual Band USB Adapter from OvisLink is an interesting looking product, with two external antennas, to provide more coverage compared to most USB adapters on the market, that feature internal antennas.

Packaging, A Closer Look

The X.USB 300Mbps Dual Band USB adapter from OvisLink is shipped inside a small cardboard box, which has on its frontal side a photo of the two X.USB variants: X.USB vanilla (the product without the antennas), and X.USB-3; also here we can see several pictograms that represent the main product features, along with the product operating speed and supported standards:

On the back side, we can see the product features more in detail:

Along with the product itself, we can find in the box a small Quick User Guide and an installation CD:

The installation steps are described in the guide, in multiple languages:

On the same guide, we can find a declaration of conformity and some other photos of the two product variants:

The X.USB has the shape of a larger USB Flash Drive, with two antenna connectors in the back:

Between the antenna connectors, we can find some ventilation holes:

The bottom of the device has a small sticker with the product serial number, MAC and some other ventilation holes, to avoid overheating inside the casing:

The WiFi antennas were sent separately by the manufacturer (considering that the review sample I have received is the X.USB model, not X.USB-3):

By removing the protective plastic cap, we can reveal the USB connector:

Here is a photo of the product with the antennas attached:

When in operation, the top blue activity LED blinks with different intensities, depending on which state the adapter is in (scanning for networks, transferring data):
