the difference is larger between Cu<>AL coolers when we're talking about smaller and compact heatsinks, but as size increases, its cheaper to work with Al+Cu construction, without loss of much performance |
if I remember correctly, cupper is great for transfering heat, but doesn't disapate it as well as aluminium does, so an alu/cu mix is probably the best thing. |
common misconception; an all copper cooler always does better than alu or AlCU; copper can transfer more heat. the main reason for mixing Cu base with alu fins is weight and costs |
