Default Passive Power Supplies Review: Silverstone and Yesico

In today´s review we continue our search for the whole grail of complete silence. We have looked at some very efficient CPU coolers in the past, and today we extend our horizon to include another noisy part of every PC: the Power supply.

The master of PSU review
I thought you wouldn't be touching another PSU review until next year after the over a dozen "massive" power surge roundup.

Silverstone Tech @ SPCR Forum 30th March 2006 posted:

Our website does not state this yet, but there was a revision done late last year that added not only a PCI-Express connector but also 24pin ATX connector (instead of just 20pin) and improved ventilation.

The ST30NF available for purchase now should all be the newer version.
and from our review

Seeing as this PSU has been launched some time ago we’re confident an updated version will come along soon for those requiring the extra PSU flexibility.

It sure makes you feel good. This is the reward from reviewing product when improvement is made from responsible manufacturers.
