A reader asked for more information in regards to how to get there (China). Without the specifics, here is some general info. By the way, I live in the U.S. (Chicago). 1) I trust most foreigners will require an entry Visa which can be in three catagories; Business, Vacation; Student. Check with your local Chinese Consulate. For Americans, your Visa fee is higher (don't ask me why). 2) I used to fly to China on business trips. Non-stop flight should be considered otherwise the total time could be as high as >24 hours. 3) If you are from the U.S., there are direct flights to Hong Kong, Bejing and Shanghai from NY, Chicago and L.A. 4) Don't bring much clothing with you but a pair of good walking shoes. Clothings are very inexpensive there and good shoes are hard to find. |
