Great work Piotke Been testing the 6600 ES on a Asus P5W DG DeLuxe and they are amazing Also on a DFI Infinity but this mobo has a few design errors |
Thanks ! Soon I'm going to test how these chips perform and overclock at let's say, 4.6 - 4.8 GHZ ? :) |
How come we don't see the use of Dual core driver similar to AMD for Intel to optimize performance? Is the issue related to AMD only? Interesting to know. |
How many apps really use More then 1 core ? |
How many of us really need such fast processor? :) That's was not my question. |
I think a special driver is not needed for Intel, unless I'm mistaken, since they have always been "closer" to Microsoft than AMD when it comes down to Windows driver support and default functionality. but like I said, www.intel.com and most likely the latest set of .inf files for your motherboard chipset should suffice. Dual Core is basically DUAL CPU and Windows does support this natively; maybe AMD's implementation is slightly different that's why it needs a seperate driver to make it work correctly. have you heard many gaming issues with Dual Core Intel systems? There have been many reports on AMD. |
