Danger Den TDX Water Block Preview We take an in-depth look at the latest water block from Danger Den; the TDX features the same performance increasing nozzles as the RBX but improves on its design. Tested on an Athlon 64 setup we take a look at what it can do! http://www.madshrimps.be/gotoartik.php?articID=188 |
You should have tested the silver version at 126$ :D |
afaik only 2 websites have received this WB for review, Overclockers.com being one of them :) |
erm, The silver block is NOT sterling silver (92.5%), it is very pure 99.995% silver. Considerably more expensive and also quite a bit higher thermal conductivity than sterling silver. Stirling silver is probably no better than copper, if not worse given the high concentration of impurities. Stirling is for jewellery. Anything requiring thermal properties should stay well clear of stirling silver (take note aquacomputer and you REALLY shouldn't be charging more for a sterling block than DD does for the near pure silver TDX) [/rant] 8-ball |
thank you for the correction 8-ball :super:, the review has been updated. |
OK, now everything makes sence ^^ |
Couldn't you update it again, and remove the line saying, that it's good to have the water stagnate in the waterblock? It's not good! It reduces the effeciendy of the waterblock, if the water stays in the block. |
hello Unregistered, I've made some corrections in the article, any updates will be done in this color; thank you for your comments. |
You haven't corrected the 925 sterling silver in the first paragraph... And indeed, stagnating water is bad... Just say that turbulences increase heat absorbtion by the water from the copper... PS: first time I read article, as I had no time before :D Oh, and you should know the TDX is less restrictive as the RBX, which makes another good point for buying it... Don't you have a Cascade to compare to? Would be nice to know how they are up to that old design of cathar... (which might be a bit too restrictive in my watercooling setup which needs to be finished: Tygon always escapes my grasp :( ) |

I'm not the Author remember. Liquid3d is planning on doing a follow-up which includes comparisons to the German WBblock and the RBX; that's why this is a "pre"-view :) |
Well, was talking to you as a group :D My mistake :ws: |
no offence but there is no place for probitching here, if they can not keep it civilized, then I don't see the reason why there should be a link to there anyway. The preview, as it is now, is entirely verified and correct, and in the end, that counts. thank you. |
Huh? Sorry, could you explain? I don't understand your reaction... :( |
Oh, I see, got a notification before from someone else... OK, nvm then :ws: |
a) sorry for late reaction (routertroubles+ must have missed reactions) b) I have totaly no probs with the review, it's great :super: and I don't give sh*t about wath they think, but I wouldn't like when peeps are talking 'bad' about me or something I did whitout knowing it. But, asside from that, keep up the good reviewing work :king: |
