Coolermaster Mystique ATX Case Review Can the Mystique combine a good look pre-mod with useful features and excellent cooling? We examine Coolermaster's latest in detail in this review. http://www.madshrimps.be/gotoartik.php?articID=481 |
Hi I noticed that you mentioned that you placed a fan to help cool down the video card. Can you please show me how you did it. I did not see how this was done. I have ordered the Mystique (still can't decide what is better black or silver). I noticed a few sites that have reviewed the Mystique and they also mentioned the heat issue as well. I am thinking of making a gaming machine with dual video cards. Did you do anthing different to attache the fan? Please let me know. Many thanks |
jmke, I think you'd definitely notice a difference in CPU temps if you had not got the CPU vent there (especially with that blow-down style CPU HSF). Is the vent duct extendable (looks like it is)? With the GPU vent on my Antec SLK I found blocking it actually lowered all my overall temps due to preventing airflow short-circuits but if you have a hot GPU to cool.... gponcho, I'd think you'd manage to mount the 92mm fan on that grille no problem. There are enough holes to put screws through! |
Thanks I will try that What fan would you recommend that will do the job but be very quiet. Also will the holes line up with the fan? |
@ Gponcho: Below the opening where the blowhole is mounted, a 9cm fan, fits exactly, so anyone can place a fan there. Any silent one will do, I used a 9cm Noiseblocker SE2 @7V @ Firetech: If I use a 9cm Vantec Tornado the Coretemp is around 5 degrees lower, when compaired to my Noiseblocker SE2. There won`t be any real impact on a direct intake versus a good airflow through the system. |
