Arctic Silver ArctiClean

Arctic Silver, manufacturer of Ceramique and AS5 , arguably the finest thermal compounds available, introduces a two stage cleaning fluid/prep liquid designed to remove any thermal paste, and prepare surfaces for a fresh thermal paste application

nice stuff would be useful for GPU cores and NB cores

Laagvliegerke 18th August 2004 18:03

Where can I find this in Belgium?

Ever tried plain liquid copper polish?

I'm using this for over 3 years now (for cleaning heatsink, cpu, gpu, ...) anf never had any problems with it and always very nice results ... (same mirrorfinish as with this product).

It is also widely spread (i got my in a local brico store) and very cheap. Paid it 3€ for a 250ml bottle :)

Maybe a tip if this product is hard to come by in the future.

are you it doesn't leave residu?

ZaVkE 19th August 2004 13:29

Yes :)
The only thing it leaves is a protective non-conductive film just like this product.

And i'm glad to say that i also have noticed a small drop in temps, but most important a much better heattransfer to the sink (sink is 4-5° hotter after cleaning the base and the core)

Laagvliegerke 19th August 2004 18:38

What's the name of that product? :)
And I thought that a film is not good?
