AMD Aircooling - Heatsink Roundup August 2004 So here we are with yet again an AMD Socket A roundup. Last time in December 2003 we saw that the field was dominated by the Thermalright SP-97 heatsink which sports heat pipe technology. Nowadays a lot of manufactures have caught up and we have a wide variety of heatsinks available which are based upon the successful heat pipe tech. Letīs find out if they can beat our Golden Oldie http://www.madshrimps.be/gotoartik.php?articID=213 |
"August 2003" Typo? |
woopsie! thanks :) |
Good roundup :thumb: :) |
where was the XP-120 :( And what's with the 2 different SP-97 temps? Does it perform better with the 80mm fan? |
The Xp-120 is A64/P4 only. And the SP97 seems to perform better with an 80mm fan (prolly because the 92mm doesn't move that much air as the coolink) |
Hardfreak pretty much answered all the questions :) |
I heard some complaints about the DP-102, being quite a risky job to install (lots of core crushing going on...) Is this true? If yes, what could you recommend I do to avoid my core being crushed? (Also a Barton 2500+ @ 2004mhz I might add) |
