Albatron K8 Ultra-U Pro A64 S754 Motherboard Review

Albatron recently introduced a new S754 motherboard, based on the lesser known ULi chipset, it comes feature packed and offers some overclocking potential. Can this budget friendly board stand up to the competition? Read on to find out.

Very interesting motherboard!
I read another review on it and according to their screenshots it does have a PCI lock. Here:

Maybe they used a newer BIOS, maybe an older one.

That's weird. I saw that setting in BIOS, but I thought that it wasn't working (overclocked just ar the memory). As I experienced the typical not locked PCI errors.

Asrock also has a mobo available for quite some time now with this exact same chipset.

The K8Upgrade, and it's also a bit cheaper than this Albatron.

I heard somewhere Albatron is a sub-company of Gigabyte? Is that true?

The great thing about the K8 Upgrade is that you can upgrade it to a Socket 939 system whenever you want.

It's seems to me that building a budget S754/S939 has not been made more interesting because of the Albatron mobo but because of the Asrock mobo.
