severeal pc's behind one router?? I have 3 pc's on one router with my internet connection arriving to the router. (which is all quite normal) Every time I want to run seti on more then one seti always restarts with a new WU every time I boot. Is there a way to use all my pc's using the same seti account?? |
your pc's are dhcp enabled so u get a new ip every time u boot ? -> give your clients a static ip |
yep dhcp router gives em on every reboot. To give my pc's static ip's: turn dhcp off on my router and give each pc an ip should do it or do I forget something? internet will still work on all pc's? |
what router do you have ? |
before foefeling around with the router , try this : config one of your client pc's like this: |
mind the IP range please subnet: each group of 255 determines what parts of your IP have to be the same (IP range) if the subnet is 255.255.255.0, and the router IP is 192.168.0.1 then the IP of your clients has to start with 192.168.0.xxx IF your router's IP starts with 10.xxx.xxx.xxx, an IP that starts with 192.xxx.xxx.xxx won't work! anyway, if you don't understand this -> please give the IP of your router and the subnet! |
