That's awesome. I think it's cool that this was given to someone that could really use it.
Cudos to this site's staff for recognizing a need and filling it.

Congrats AJ. I know that you will enjoy that case.

I'm very happy to see so many people root for others, very selfless and humble. I hope all the new people strck around everyone stays here. And look out for our next give-a-way coming soon.

AJ. 3rd April 2007 22:55

Out of fairness, I will not join in on the next competition. I'll let people who havent won anything get a chance to win something. Thanks keith for shipping out the case so soon. I'll get you guys pics when I'm done transfering all my stuff into it. Since I'll be on spring break it's going to be real soon. I just need to figure out this Hp hardrive cage. It doesnt look like that hardrive is coming out easily

Btw, what 's the proper way to ground yourself before removing the motherboard?

jmke 4th April 2007 08:08

touching the radiator (heating) should be enough; and not running around on a carpet right before you handle the motherboard will help too:)

if you can take pics of the drive-cage of that HP, and make/model I can look up how to remove it, usually it's fairly easy with OEM machines:)

AJ. 5th April 2007 04:55

Sure, I'll get you a pic up tomorrow. I just finished installing a new power supply I bought today.

I got the antec truepower trio 550w psu for $80 out the door. :woot: Newegg has it for $100. Not bad heh? :D

AJ. 6th April 2007 16:45

Ah, sorry for responding so late. Been busy. But anyways here's the picture of the hardrive cage...

The picture that looks like nothing is the gap in between the HDD cage and the motherboard tray. I guess worst comes to worst, I'll partially destroy the case to get to the hardrive :naughty: lol

jmke 6th April 2007 17:40

hard drive is not held in place by screws, but by the plastic clips you see on the side

AJ. 6th April 2007 21:54

Actually it is. Underneath the plastic clips there are 2 screws on each side. The one side I'm having problems with is the side that has a three inch gap becuase I cant fit in the screw driver. I dont know, I'll try and remove it again today. Hopefully it will come out without a fight.

AJ. 11th April 2007 02:18

I recieved the case! :D

Thanks madshrimps!! I just finished installing all my components into the case and it's up and running. I just cant believe how HUGE this case is. It's literally twice the size of my mid tower case from hp. :o

Anyways, here's a video of everything installed. It took me about 4hrs to transfer everything from my case to this one. I organized the wires as much as I could but there's allot to organize.

Or then again, maybe not. After viewing the link, "More from this user" at the link you provided to Youtube. It appears that as early as March 8th you had a pretty sweet case. It's obvious that it's the same user because of the desktop.

Congrats just the same.

AJ. 22nd April 2007 23:35

That's the same Hp case I took pictures of for the contest and it's the only case I had. ;-)

I just added a blue LED fan on the side vent holes for looks. If by sweet you mean the blue led fan then your mistaken lol. There's nothing sweet about that case. And I wouldnt cheat others if I didnt really need a case
