Why: got the message :)

Bosw8er 17th May 2004 22:16

AH ! NOW i understand.

Hyperthreading folding instructions :
- download client 1 in c:\foldingdir1
- copy client 1 to c:\foldingdir2, this will be client 2
- start client 1 and fill in your coordinates, ID = 1
- start client 2 and fill in your coordinates, ID = 2

Now your 2 clients are folding at 50% and you don't loose any time at all when getting/sending work.

agent #2 17th May 2004 22:29

Is that only for the console version?

Bosw8er 17th May 2004 22:45

I haven't used the graphical client in more than a year, but i think it has the same possibilities. If not you can always change the config file

agent #2 17th May 2004 22:47

It's ok. I downloaded the console version. I think it works. ^^

you can not run 2 graphical client instances, either one console, one graphical, or both console

on a hyperthreading CPU you are looking at a 10-30% increase in output vs none hyperthreading

kr15t0f 19th May 2004 17:07

we need more folding power, that line should be exponential :D

BTW, 50% of my WU :^D

kipni 19th May 2004 17:55

i think smthings isn't right yet :)

jmke 19th May 2004 19:01

everything is right, at the next stats update you will see that our production will be added correctly.

we have to enter the TOP 1000 to be included in the "individual" stats per team,

Quote:

Teams automatically get added when their rank is 2000 or better. However, I can't process individual stats until your team rank is 1000 or better. The reason for that is because Stanford doesn't generate an individual file until then. So keep folding, and let me know when you break 1,000 and I can add your individual stats to be processed.
if we brake 30k we are in the top 1000 =) .. 2 weeks?

I think less than 2 weeks. Say about 5 days if everyone keeps folding like now. Allready got 12k in 6 days with +- 10 members + some who got only 1 WU. Now whe are with 26 (also count doubles)

Maddy 19th May 2004 22:30

Well,
there will be extra activity because of the hollidays, normaly my computer only boots at around 16.00, if I'm home it's a lot earlier.
So we gain some extra point there too, I also hope to add an extra computer, like most of 'my' computers he's not fired up all day but I say every bit helps and my electric bill doesn't raise.

Vulk 20th May 2004 12:51

There something wrong overhere. Every time I reboot my pc, he starts folding a new wu. Hmz, any suggestions?
