[M]Folder6 Online!

XP2200+ @ 2ghz up and running

Swiftech + Delta fan = lots of noise
previous owner of the motherboard (KX7) used silicone in the 4 sockets around the CPU :grum:

now all the pads are not equally high => not enough pressure on the CPU :wtf:

vcore 1.92v = loaded temp = 50°C .. holding me back from reaching 2100+ Mhz :(

[M]Folder6 joins the currently family that was build after the Folding started:

[M]Folder4 - XP1800+@1690Mhz
[M]Folder5 - Duron900@995Mhz

Bosw8er here I come :rod:

silicone is removable right?

jmke 1st January 2003 22:22

it is frozen.. pretty hard
and by trying to scraping it off I might risk cutting a connection bridge on the mobo :(

tried with aceton, semi-succes only

most of the silicon is gone, but he glued 2 washers on their, and I can only remove them partially, the aceton doesn't really affect the glue.. so I'm pretty much forced to use another method for attaching the heatsink

does the SLK-800 use a clip? how "easy" is it to attach it gamer?

Gamer 15th January 2003 06:26

yep, with a clip, easy to use.
3 seconds :)

don't know why they use a clip, it's heavy so watch out in moving the pc.
