on those forums there should be a info available then to the Beta Client :)

they are not released yet, but no harm in being prepared :)

Gamer 15th January 2003 19:02

done :)

Gagagoegoe 15th January 2003 19:26

So correct me if i'm wrong : You'll get 19 points/ WU when you install such a beta client ???

Bosw8er 15th January 2003 20:19

NOTICE !

They ask you to report what your findings are. Do not enter the betateam just to get more points ... enter the team because you want to help the community.

Please respect the rules.

Thanks !

jmke 15th January 2003 20:47

so you have to check their forum & post in the right threads if you encounter any problems with the client

jmke 15th January 2003 20:55

I have not received any PM yet, am still using the normal F@H client ->

Nothing special
http://folding.stanford.edu/psummary.html

Please be patient when contacting a stanford - co-worker. They are doing this for free and they get A LOT of requests from people thinking that getting gromacs is like winning the lottery.

Thanks again.

did you actually read my first post

what I meant with not getting a PM yet... was that I am not in the beta team nor am I using the beta client.

still got this huge protein being folded
that's all ;)

these aren't gromacs, but really big TINKERS

biCker 15th January 2003 21:24

english: I just got two of them also, on my athlon classic 51 hours to finish it, poor thing

wrom kan ik die image niet gewoon attachen btw?

Gamer 15th January 2003 21:25

ehm, 25 hours to complete ?

jmke 15th January 2003 21:27

c/p from my post @ XS:

my P4@2550 folds about 17 points / day

so getting 19.7 isn't that bad a deal

biCker 15th January 2003 21:31

on my PIV @2550, 27h13min to finish one, see edited post above

jmke 15th January 2003 21:34

you got a TZ2 I got a TZ1 :)

gaat wel bij een nieuwe reply, niet bij het editen van een post :)
vB 3.0 is almost here...

biCker 15th January 2003 21:41

btw, again this is a school example of how bad the PIV is for folding: piv2550 > 27h and athlon 600 > 51h, not half the mhz but only twice the time needed to finish

RichBa5tard 15th January 2003 22:18

19 points is not that special if you need twice the time. ;)

My XP@2.3ghz completed a WU every 6~7 hours.

you have to update EMIII so it knows the new tinkers

Boemenenoekinzoe 16th January 2003 18:32

I also have one : "p622_TZ1_NAT" but it takes 93u53min to get completely folded ... is this normal?

Rig : P4 1.6@2.33GHz

jmke 16th January 2003 18:47

that is quite normal
a dedicated P4@2550 took 26hours

so if you are using your PC, that time is normal :)

Gamer 16th January 2003 19:07

hmm, now I have 2 Tinkers.

it takes only 18 hours to complete on my XP 1800+ :)

jmke 16th January 2003 19:09

yep about same here on the XP2000+

jmke 16th January 2003 20:31

19.7 p624_TZ1_EXT 00:02:50 16/01/2003 XP@1610

Gamer 16th January 2003 20:52

00:03:26 @ 3 ghz PIV
00:02:49 @ XP 1666mhz
maybe i'll get one on the XP 2400, let's see what it gives....

biCker 17th January 2003 20:12

just received a mail I was added to the beta team, how do I have the parameters again?

Gamer 17th January 2003 20:14

same here :)

biCker 17th January 2003 20:25
