Folding restarts

a little problem since a week. I thought I'll try to give it another go.
4 systems: 2x XP1700, 1x XP1800 and a XP2000
All the same, after every reboot, it simply starts over from Zero

Any explanation?
All Win2k pro, all at least 256mb ram
3 using Telenet, 1 using Chello

The strange thing is that the first WU is able to finish, but from then on nothing......

As you don't have any points in cache i would suggest deleting the folder-directory entirly, download a new client and start all over.

Which error message do you get in the fahlog ?

I had a similar problem and the explanation i got was that the new clients sometimes "sees" that there are too many "incorrect" shutdowns. The programs thinks your system is unstable (and crashes = incorrect shutdown) and the output may be corrupted.
They don't like corrupt material at Stanford.

Waarm kan die die eerste wel zenden? :-)
Ik ga deze laten lopen, en als hij morgen na reboot weer opnieuw begint smijt ik hem er eens volledig af...

Bosw8er 23rd June 2003 20:17

Very simple answer.

There are different WU's, you receive them from different servers and when they are "finished" they are resend to the server that send them initially

Sometimes a server is down and you cannot send them back ... but the folding program keeps them in qeue ... and it will send the results in when the server is back online.

No worries.
