Snapdragon 821, 3GB RAM, 64GB storage

Xiaomi Mi5S has launched just recently and it is one of the first available Snapdragon 821 based products. It is available today in 64GB version for $335.99.

The phone is as high end as you can imagine as it has a decent 12.0-megapixel rear camera with PDAF and dual-tone flash, a 4.0-megapixel front camera with f/2.0 aperture and the fastest SoC available to date. Xiaomi, in cooperation with Gearbest, is offering this phone for roughly half of what Google asks for the Pixel phone. There is also a 4GB RAM and 128GB version that is selling for close to $500.

The Xiaomi Mi 5S has a 5.15 inch, 1920 x 1080 FHD screen, very eye pleasing design and it should be able to compete well with some heavyweights, including the Galaxy S7 and similar phones. The fact that this a 3GB RAM and 64GB phone with the latest and greatest Snapdragon 821, Snapdragon X12 with 600 Mbps download and 150 Mbps upload capable modem, the price of US $335.99 sounds like a great deal. We do like the fact that you don't need to break the bank to get a Xiaomi high-end phone.
