Watercool your PSU RichBastard tried to do this once, so he could remove ALL fans from his system, he broke off a resistor and was handicapped in such a way that running / repairing the PSU was undoable it has use, if you want a supersilent system :) |
You could also add a fan (or 2) @5v and also make you exhaust fan run @5v. Then your PSU is well cooled and super silent :) You can't hear my antec running! |
hmmm, going to try that after the exams |
RB could take his PSU to velleman or so, they'll know which diode to put in it if I'm not mistaking, make it heavy enough and it'll be OK |
mmm ... indeed something to try in the near future first one the list = finishing my new WC setup and that case i've been working on ... just "re-invented" some things on design and materials, expect this to be done when my new gear arrives :) dewd's got one hell of an ugly system tho |

I may be able to repair the PSU if I would know the exact markings on the diode... Has anyone got a Enermax 350W and is willing to take a look? It's component ZD8, marked on this pic: |
ask around @ every forum you know... those enermax PSU's are well know... |
i might be abel to stop by a friend of mine one of the following days ... i know i installed an enermax in his rig a few months ago, and i think it was a 350W another question : what would be the best way to make those waterblocks ? |
