Viewsonic VX2435wm 24" LCD Large widescreen displays are becoming more and more popular, especially amongst gaming enthusiasts. The ViewSonic VX2435wm 24inch Widescreen LCD has elegant styling and loaded with features, but falls short on overall display quality, especially for the computer user. I found this display next to impossible to set the correct color, contrast and brightness for my liking. No matter what I tried the display always seemed too bright. This can be resolved though with the video card color properties. For the most part, you should be able to turn on a display and start working/playing... http://www.3dgameman.com/content/view/8156/103/ |
"While it's an added feature, how many people with a 24" widescreen display is going to use these 3-watt speakers? I'm not! They are certainly not intended for gaming or any serious audio playback." +1 for Samsung, they leave them away |
office use and home pc will appreciate the integrated speakers |

b) people who own a 24" display on their home computer, want better quality too headphones are usually a better option, not only is the quality better but also it doesn't disturb the people around |
Better to have the option than not, as always. a & b) some /= all |

the speakers impact the look, the weight and cause intereference (nt with the display itself I know) |
you are incorrect in your assumptions Rutar, the integrated speakers give extra value especially for office use and for the home PC, with LCD panels dropping in price 24" can be had for prices previously unthinkable. For both these markets the integrated speakers will come in handy... giving you the option to get higher quality sound compared to the PC speaker which comes in most OEM machines. |
I would have to agree with Rutar. I would hate to have speakers that I will never use on my LCD. Slim and conservative look is what appeals to most people home and office. Just read the reviews on LCDs with speakers at newegg. Just about every LCD with built in speakers will have a review with somone saying how they wish it wouldn't have them. If I buy a widescreen LCD, I want it to look like a wide screen 16:10 LCD, not something that's closer to a 4:3. |
again, you are not home or office user:) hardware enthusiasts have better judgment skills when it comes down to technology; you are correct that the speakers take up place, weight and are of lousy quality. but for office use they are way better than default PC speaker and they are as good as "free of charge" for the company ordering the monitor; |
I don't see any company wanting their employees being distracted by sound. |
