TRIM, Microsoft and SandForce
 

Following the publication of the latest SandForce firmware by OCZ, we have carried out more tests to study when TRIM works or does not work with Microsoft drivers.

To recap, with the first firmware, the TRIM command on the Microsoft driver wasn’t registered by the SandForce controller, with the driver not respecting the the latest developments of the TRIM standard (exceeding spec limitations with respect to groups of addresses sent to the SSD).
