That time of year again: Analyzing Password Usage
 
Imperva released a study analyzing 32 million passwords exposed in the Rockyou.com breach. The data provides a unique glimpse into the way that users select passwords and an opportunity to evaluate the true strength of these as a security mechanism.

The report identifies the most commonly used passwords:
1. 123456
2. 12345
3. 123456789
4. Password
5. iloveyou
6. princess
7. rockyou
8. 1234567
9. 12345678
10. abc123

enterprise might have something like "password policies" which might now allow such easy passwords to be accepted;)

my email password at work was 'Netscape1' since 1998 :D

I changed it recently (not necessary , a mistake :-p). go figure

123456789 is easy if you don't need security but the os requires a password to function properly.
Also very easy to enter on a laptop keyboard :p .
