THG Intel vs AMD stress test disaster

Thg started a stress test of the latest amd and intel plattform on june 3rd, and so far it has been a disaster. thg hardly documented their methods of testing and the problems they found and how they solved them. for me its sad to see such a well known site do such a bad job, and have removed the old logs and performence stats making it look like they are trying to hide things.

It's actualy not a fair test, for AMD. The AMD system ran perfectly for hours/days, while the Intel system kept crashing.
I think they should have just left the AMD system running in SLI.

Conclusions are, Intel DC doesn't like SLI, the nf4 mobo's can't handle the cpu and yet again, thg takes the side of intel.

You would think the guys/gals from Wallstreet are reading this. Should this summer heat get above average, Dell may consider AMD soon enough :)

they installed BTX heatsink in ATX case

I have been following the tests ..... must have missed the BTX heatsink ...... they did switch HSF and I only read/saw ATX HSF.

You'd be surprised that most of us here currently own Intel, or at least in past 12-24 months; I have four Intel running right now including the nuclear reactor called "Prescott" ;)

We are for everything that provides the best value and performance.

By the way, we were all "young" once; young people have the energy and willingness to explore; try new things; breaking records; competing with each other...... while older people could always encourage; support ........

I only hope it will never end :)

Lol :^D .

I myself am pro AMD, but that doesn't mean I'm anti Intel. Their prices were too high few years ago, now their cpu's are too hot and have too long pipelines (+AMD is a gamer's cpu and Intel is more an encode/workstation cpu).

no, this site is Pro Performance/Price ratio

when Intel P4 "C" was released we were as enthusiastic about it as we now are about A64

lol, that's already 2 years ago, I must be getting old :)
edit, I am old :D

I must admit, THG IS Intel minded, and I think it will never change....
don't know why they used an BTX sink in an ATX case though ? :)
