Thermalright Ultra-120A Modded With Copper Coating Remember ThermalRight showcased its copper platted U120E in Computex 2008? We got to know that they’re just exhibition models. Sometimes manufacturers just show attractive products to you and after that will be a long waiting R&D period. So there are DIYs, we push our own technology! Now our friend awangfeng platted the Ultra 120A with copper. Unfortunately no performance numbers before and after are known http://en.expreview.com/2008/08/21/m...opper-platted/ |
Awangfeng says on this: 得分大竞猜,得正版游戏和军包! 开始支持节能技术 一枝独放难成春 评测 楼主一定是走后门啦 |

Why would you want to PLATE it with copper? Don't see how that would help, better to use nothing but copper or stick to aluminum. |
I don't think it will cooling performance at all either, just looks. |
Cooling should star with copper and end with alu. As the copper absorbs the heat fast, but also keeps it longer. |
