Thermalright AXP-140 Heatpipe CPU Cooler Review

Thermalright addresses a key issue of picking a cooler for an HTPC by taking their expertise in heatsink design and developing an enthusiast grade CPU cooler that can fit in to an HTPC case. The AXP-140 heatpipe CPU cooler would make a great cooler for just about any system, but because it is only 70.2mm high it is just the thing for keeping an HTPC running cool and quiet. http://www.bigbruin.com/content/axp140rt_1

My parents just got a new computer. The one it replaced was my old overclocked P4.. Cooling it was the XP-120... It kept that beast overclocked from 3.2 to 3.8Ghz for over... 6 years? I think I only ever took the can of duster to it once right before I gave it to them..

yes the XP-120 ruled pretty hard when it was first released; but its design is no good for current CPUs, top-down coolers are just not as efficient as tower coolers, with the same amount of material used.
