Tesla Expands Sales of Solar Gear at Home Depot
 

Prospective owners of Tesla's solar panels and Powerwall battery products will be able to stroll into Home Depot to determine whether these are truly right for them: 800 stores will advertise them in 12-by-7-foot display areas, some of which will include demonstrations. Lowes is thinking about doing the same. Expanding Tesla's presence at Home Depot -- one of the largest retailers in the world, with more than 2,200 stores -- will be a good measure of its aspirations for solar. Several companies have tried, and failed, to make similar products financially viable. Plus, the US solar market has recently contracted.
