Television abandoned by young people

YOUNG PEOPLE aged 16 to 24 are switching off their tellies and moving online, the telecoms watchdog Ofcom has barked. In its latest report, Ofcom says that the "networked generation" is driving a radical shift in media consumption.

same thing, must be since start of my studies. and that's been 14 years...
that doesn't mean I never watch a dvd on a tv screen, but since the 24" dvd that has diminished also.

I must say I watch less television than I used to. In my childhood I used to get out of bed at 7am to watch cartoons until 10-11am.

Now I watch much less tv, but that depends from day to day. I usualy watch tv when I'm bored and mostly after 8pm. (normaly I watched TV when I got back from school, about 1-2hrs at least )

Why watch TV if the content sucks?

The content isn't that bad. There are some good shows, like Fata Morgana (altough I prefer the last 15minutes), we have very good police-series (Witse, Flikke, Op Heterdaad, ...), sometimes there are interesing documentaries (like those about the human body on Canvas), Motorsports (MotoGP, rally, F1, Champcars, Monsterjam, ...) and to complete the circle, cartoons and sarcasm (Nickelodeon and for example Happy Tree Friends or Jackass ).

So it isn't that bad at all

At least in Belgium I guess
