Sharkoon introduces fanless 300 Watt power supply

Sharkoon MuTech 300W ATX / silent passive cooling / standard ATX design / suggested retail price: 99

Loud rattling components in a living room PC -- the absolute mood-killer during a movie night at home. And office workers also value a workplace atmosphere that's not permanently disrupted by the background roar of a loud PC. Silent PC components are conquering the market. Sharkoon is expanding its portfolio of silent products and now presents a new high-performance silent power supply: the Sharkoon MuTech 300 W ATX, which delivers performance without the din and noise produced by fans. Instead, enlarged aluminum heat sinks provide effective, noiseless internal cooling.

Through the internal solution no overhanging fan elements get in the way of other installed components. The Sharkoon MuTech fully meets ATX design standards. The open metal grillwork housing design also supports a good airflow and thus optimal ventilation. The sheet steel housing as well as all inner components with the exception of the silver heat sinks have been kept in a refined black. So that users can quickly determine whether the power supply is functioning or not despite the missing drone, Sharkoon has outfitted the MuTech with a power switch that lights blue when voltage is present.

The Sharkoon MuTech supports Active PFC as well as ATX12V 2.0 and comes with a 24 pin mainboard connector, S-ATA-connectors, and separate 12V lines among other features. A handbook, power cable, cable ties, mounting screws and thumbscrews (four each), and a Sharkoon sticker are all included in delivery.
