Samsung expands 14 nm
 

The Samsung Foundry Forum has been told that the outfit is expanding its the fourth-generation 14-nanometer process foundry process.

The company said that the new process will deliver higher performance than the third-gen 14LPC without affecting the power requirements. The fourth-gen 14 nm process technology is suited for high-performance and compute-intensive applications.

Samsung also showed the assembled throngs its third-generation 10 nm chip-making process. The process will provide area reduction compared to its previous generations and Samsung sang that it will be "the most cost-effective cutting-edge process technology in the industry."
