S3 Chrome S27 Video Card

There are other graphics companies in the world. While most of them don't compete for the "spend $400 each on a pair of graphics cards for your extreme gaming rig" market space, those looking to get a decent graphics card on the cheap have options. S3, for instance, makes a line of budget graphics cards. Today we're taking a look at the highest-performance card S3 makes—the Chrome S27 with 256MB of RAM. Though this is S3's highest-performance card to date, it only costs about $115 (currently only available in North America through Newegg). Let's find out if it's a match for similarly priced products from the Red and Green companies
