Default RD600 will be AMD's last chipset for Intel

DFI (Diamond Flower International) is the only company that appears to be brave enough to make an RD600 board. Intel won't be happy about it but DFI won't make many of these boards anyway.
Early reports claims that this might be the best overclocking board for Intel CPUs of all time. It is supposed to be even faster than the Nforce 680i but fortunately for Nvidia there won't be many RD600 boards around.

That's what I heard, indeed. However, there has been no surfacing of an Asus board whatsoever...

NDA has been lifted by the way on the DFI board, but no real results seem to be public at this time.

i dont think this will be the last ati chipset for intel. a lot of people love crossfire and ati's low power consumption, highly overclockable chipsets. since intels core 2 is the best processor at the moment (and it looks like at least for another year or more) it just makes sense to allow the best chipset to go with the best processor. if intel does not allow ati to produce anymore chipsets for them simply because amd bought them they will be loosing a decent percentage of the enthusiast market who want crossfire and highly overclockable chipsets. the only way intel could do without ati would to create their own highly overclockable crossfire ready chipsets, and for some reason i dont see it happening
