Radeon HD 2900 XT vs. 320MB 8800 GTS

See how the 320 MB version of the GeForce 8800 GTS compares in games against the ATI Radeon HD 2900 XT. If video card value is what you seek, you will want to read this. We have also included some Lost Planet demo DX9 testing with interesting results.

I am sure ATI could have compared/tested the card against it's competitor and knows the score way before the product is released. What I don't get is how marketing can come up with the price point higher than the competitor while performance is lower than competitor.

Pass over the smoke; I want the same high too.

hit them while they are down strategy here from H ;) anyway, the HD 2900 XT will be interesting if price is on par with GTS 320Mb and drivers are tweaked, then the ATI will be the better choice... until that happens, 8800 GTS 320Mb is by far the best price/performance card to have appeared on the market yet; it beats the 8600GTS by far
