A performance update of the Snapdragon 675 SoC

Qualcomm has announced its latest Snapdragon 6-series SoC, the 11nm Snapdragon 678, which comes as a much-needed performance update to the Snapdragon 675 SoC, released back in 2018.

Announced as a "follow-on" to the Snapdragon 675 SoC, which was a mid-range SoC released back in 2018 and the same one which was behind some popular smartphones like the Redmi Note 7 Pro, Samsung Galaxy A70(s) and M40, and a couple of Vivo phones, the new Snapdragon 678 SoC promise overall performance upgrade, high-speed connectivity, immersive entertainment, better photography and videography abilities, all while maintaining the long battery life.
