Industry’s fastest Integrated Graphics chosen to Power two new Packard Bell Series



MARKHAM, ON/ Munich, Germany – May 6, 2004 – ATI Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ: ATYT; TSX: ATY), today announced that the RADEONTM 9100 IGP, the world’s most powerful integrated graphics processor, will power Packard Bell’s new iMedia and iXtreme series. These systems will be available in May 2004 and sold through leading computer retailers in Europe.

By selecting the RADEON 9100 IGP Packard Bell can provide industry-leading 3D graphics to mainstream users, ideal for the most demanding multimedia applications and a broad range of today’s most popular 3D games.

The Packard Bell iMedia and iXtreme desktop systems will be available through most of Packard Bell’s retail channel partners in May 2004 and will range in price between 699? and 999?. Among the first to reference this new generation of PC solutions are Curry’s, Dixons, Hypermedia, PC City.

A typical configuration features an Intel Celeron 2.8GHz processor, 512MB dual channel memory, 120GB 7200rpm hard disk drive, DVD-ROM and DVD+/-RW drives, IEEE 1394, TV-tuner with remote control, Packard Bell multimedia keyboard and mouse, Diamond Audio Technology 6W speaker system, including a 15” LCD monitor for 999? end user price.
