Overclocked Core 2 E6700 @ 5693 breaks 9 Second SuperPi Barrier 4 Attachment(s) Omega forum member at XtremeSystems has pulled of an amazing SuperPi 1M run, clocking in at 8.969 seconds; This killer score was achieved by overclocking his E6700 CPU to 5693Mhz which translates into a 114% speed increase. Of course he didn't use simple air cooling, a few liters of LN2 and a custom copper tube did the trick. Combined with PC2-8000 memory modules doing overtime at CL4 4-4-4 his setup was blistering fast. His full system specs were: M/B: ASUS P5B deluxe CPU: E6700 Retail L633A549 CPU Cooling: LN2 Memory: CellShock PC2-8000 CL4 1GB x2 VGA: MilleⅡ PCI HDD: IC35L040AVVA Power Supply: Zippy-460SATA Vcore: 1.952V, Vdimm: 2.62V, NBVcore: 1.91V, Vio: 3.56V (actual), Vfsb: 1.45V, SBVcore: 1.80V, ICH:1.215 (BIOS Setting) OS: Windows Server 2003 MEM: 4-4-4-4 CopperPot:OMEGA SpecialⅢ(Bottom plate 30mm)+spider Grease:Ceramique by Arctic Silver More details can be found at XS's thread: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=145767 |
