Overclocked Celeron beats overclocked FX53 MATBE HAS some news about the new Cedar Mill being overclocked to 5GHz. They actually managed to overclock a Celeron D 356 based on the Cedar Mill core to 5GHz and found out that it completed the Super Pi test in 28 seconds, the same as a 3GHz overclocked FX53. Not bad for Intel's next entry level. http://www.matbe.com/actualites/1198...on-cedar-mill/ src: http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=28267 |
vuja day: The distinct feeling you've NEVER been here (or heard this) before. |
with the standard cooler :) hmm |
seems like a great toy : ) |
would be intresting to see a shootout of Semprons and the new Celeron when being overclocked |
A little sceptisism, there's no information about the memoryspeed, timings, etc... and the whole configuration of the system. I do prefer SuperPi Mod + validation screen when it comes to such test. And I'd looooove to see how it performs in 3D applications :D . It's a bit like the S939 Opterons, great overclockers, not available (anymore). |
le ventirad intel... I assume this is the stock intel boxed cooler, right ? pretty funny , 5000Mhz Intel competes with 3000Mhz AMD :D |
but the question is, min FPS per $ |
