Too much information. :D

omg @ ULTRA6800 in Call of duty :ws:

speed is for the nvidia and image quality and resolution for radeon.

power consumption is less for radeon and even the cooler has shrunk a bit, reducing the card's overall weight and ensuring that it would fit even into a mini-ITX case.

big detail is the price tag for the cards :) , lets wait till they are in europe (belgium).

I think the X800Pro is the best buy , if you can oc it to a XT.
The XT isn't much oc'able because of the frequentie limit of 600mhz :(.

but hey thats what I think

:D

Problem is: will you be able to activate the 4 missing pipelines?

187(V)URD@ 4th May 2004 19:02

na maybe but i said oc it to a xt variant

SpoBo 4th May 2004 21:19

ATI sure did a good job .. they are about on par with nVidia .. but I feel the 9800 has even better imagequality :s Altough the x800 still beats 6800 in imagequality.

nVidia announced that they'll be releasing another faster card in the near future and ATi is going to do the same so the fight isn't over. It's safe to say that if you buy just one of these new cards you'll be safe for the next few years :D Best buy seems the X800Pro ... since it's got some nice OC possibilities.

By the way are this benchmarks from the beta versions or the final versions ?

RichBa5tard 7th May 2004 16:29

X800 Pro 256mb @ 389 euro

jmke 7th May 2004 16:33

who was selling his R9800XT for €375 again? :p

RichBa5tard 7th May 2004 17:43

hehe

the 6800U price is a bit steep though: 591 euro

The Senile Doctor 7th May 2004 17:59

well... we could get us a x800 pro now, and then sell that one when the x800xt comes out :)
no, i'll be buying 1 week before gaming holiday

187(V)URD@ 8th May 2004 09:47

i think of buying a x800pro also , not much power and I think less noisier then the 6800 series.

And maybe he clocks good :)
