OCZ ModStream 520W Power Supply
 

OCZ is probably best known for their high performance memory and accessories, however they also produce power supplies. Their two current lines of power supplies are the ModStream series & PowerStream series. In this review we will be taking a look at the ModStream 520W PSU which is designed to be quiet, sleek, and versatile.

Ok the debate about the safety of modular design PSUs needs to get bacl on.

The above PSU uses gold-plated connectors.

Does that remove the safety and performance issue we discussed?

Gold plate = marketing

Pure Gold = no metal migration (oxidation)

Some electronic circuitry use gold paste or pure gold thread.
