Nvidia puts AMD inside Battlebox

Nvidia is putting AMD under the bonnet of its “GeForce GTX Battlebox” PC – although obviously not its GPU gear.

For those who came in late, Nvidia’s Battlebox PCs are made by suppliers to minimum specifications laid out by Nvidia. The big idea is that a GeForce GTX Battlebox provides you with baseline level of performance.

In the past Battlebox configurations relied solely on Intel processors, this was mostly because AMD’s Bulldozer-based CPUs were not good enough for top of the range work.

It looks like even Nvidia acknowledges that Ryzen has changed that and so it will allow the Chip into its Battlebox PCs.
