Default Nvidia to leave only six partners

Very well informed sources said that Nvidia will cut all but six partners. The ones to stay are EVGA, PC partner (Zotac), Asus, MSI, Palit and XFX. We don't know anything more than the list and it looks that Nvidia will announce this very shortly.

Wasn't Fudzilla just claiming NVIDIA would be cutting XFX?

Albatron, ECS, Gainward/Leadtek, Club3D, Biostar, Chaintech, and PNY don't have much of a presence or good warranty support, and won't miss them. Foxconn did have some half decent cooler modifications when they first launched NVIDIA cards though... and I can't see NVIDIA cutting BFG, BFG is a huge slice of the GPU pie and has plenty of customer goodwill.

Suspect they are wrong about BFG as they were wrong about XFX being dropped a few weeks back.

BFG would be one big surprise out of all the partners getting cut.

We got word from the Director of Nvidia's EMEA Public Relations, Luciano Alibrandi, and he said that our original news that you can read here, is absolutely not true.

Let us quote him: “This is absolutely not true.”

On our part, we apologize for all the confusion that we might have created. We believe these six will get special treatment, but it looks like the rest won’t be cut off. There will be cuts, but the holy six won't be the only ones to stay on board.

We are sure that this is not the last story about this special list, but some things might have been misinterpreted.
