21:9 monitors have become more advanced and polished, but still pose a dilemma. The format does offer some unique advantages, but the price is so close to that of the 16:9 WQHD monitors (with even more pixels), it makes more sense to choose the latter. Full HD 27inch 16:9 IPS monitors are available for less than 300 euros. 21:9 screens cost about 50% more for 33% more pixels. WQHD cost perhaps 60% more, but offer 77% more pixels and work space on your desktop.
